Hickory Hills adopted the practice of DASH (Diver Assisted Suction Harvesting) with the help of resident volunteers to remove Fanwort from our lake in 2013.

We realized harvesting Fanwort on a volunteer basis wasn’t enough for our lake due to the short seasons and limited volunteer time available. Hence, the introduction of AB Aquatics, Inc. was born in 2017 to first test the waters and give our volunteers some help tackling Fanwort growth.

Today, our DASH Teams at Hickory Hills consist of both volunteers (weeknight warriors) and the professional company AB Aquatics.
