AB Aquatics, Inc. has the ability to harvest in any zone in our Lake and under any conditions. The more adverse the conditions (silting, native vegetation, poor visibility), the slower the harvest and reduced outcome in the number of gallons removed and composted.
Their professional divers are connected to their boat with communications systems and air (hookah system). They can stay in deep water for long periods of time with little danger to the divers.
In 2017, AB Aquatics, Inc. spent 10 days in our lake harvesting 4,865 gallons of Fanwort with the goal of volume in September & October.
In 2018, we asked their focus be on identifying harvest locations early in it’s growth by diver surveying before our boat surveyor’s could see it. They spent four weeks conducting both surveying and harvesting in May and June and three weeks in September and October harvesting locations our Surveyors identified.
In 2019, AB will be here for 12 weeks addressing Fanwort in locations our Survey teams identify in July, August and September.
